ROOTED IN ST. HELENA

St. Helena is my hometown.

I came of age here, graduated from St. Helena High School, then finished my formal education from the University of Colorado at Boulder. When I returned home, I was committed to set down roots and raise a family. After seventeen years together, Emily and I have three beautiful children, two of which are of school age in the public St. Helena School District. I joined one of St. Helena’s many community organizations and presently lead the local Masonic Lodge. A historical nonprofit fraternity where I continue my advocacy for quality public education and local causes, partnering with our school district, city leaders, and business owners. What more can anyone ask? Why get involved anymore? For the simple fact that St. Helena and Napa Valley’s long-term success is important to me. So, I’m deeply invested in our city’s future, not only for my family, but for my friends and neighbors.

In my lifetime residency in the Napa Valley, I have witnessed various cultural and economic evolutions. My education, personal connections in this community and professional career in hospitality, finance real estate and management, provide me with a unique skill set to help lead on our St. Helena City Council. This experience grants me the ability to make informed judgments with historical insight and cultural context into the important issues that face our town. My campaign is focused on financial stability, increased economic development, and affordability for families, all of which enhance our quality of life.

As a local businessman, I understand the challenges and unique opportunities that face St. Helena. I see it every day, and I feel the economic pulse of this town. I’m truly sensitive to it and committed to fostering St. Helena’s prosperity. Through the pandemic, I lead an effort to help some local businesses in the historic downtown district survive the loss of business activity, maintaining desperately needed jobs.

I believe in team accomplishment and cooperation. I’m always aiming for that win/win outcome. My vision for our city is built on a foundation of practical government, embracing creative, efficient and effective solutions that work. While some community goals, given the inherent limitations of government, might not always be achievable in a reasonable time frame, it’s important to maintain this vision for St. Helena’s future.

Join me in helping promote balanced, innovative leadership on our City Council. Together, we can ensure that St. Helena thrives for generations to come.

On November 5th, vote for Hector Marroquin for St. Helena City Council.

Together, we build tomorrow.

Thank you!
